Kerry Records Management Services (KRMS), a member of Kerry Logistics (KL) and an active provider of records management services for MNCs, and Canon Hong Kong Co., Ltd (CHK), a recognized leader in digital imaging technologies, announced today their joint force to offer a total and innovative records management solution, the one-stop Integrated Records Solutions (irs). Through this joint force, KRMS expands its current servicing scope and capability from physical records management to digital records solutions that allow instant accessibility to information for business while achieving the legal compliance requirements of records retention.

A contract signing ceremony between KRMS and CHK on the joint service will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 6 Nov 2007 at 11:00 a.m. to signify the launch of irs service.

According to Mr. Lui, irs is a one-stop cost-effective records solution that customers can rest assured. The irs covers various specific services at different stages of records management, beginning from document collection, imaging and indexing, physical and electronic storage, to records disposal.

“Besides, the technical excellence of irs is the use of Canon’s high quality and super functionality digital imaging technology to achieve optimal resolution quality standard,” Mr. Kenji Kobayashi, President and CEO of CHK added.

The irs processes, including document imaging and records archiving will be conducted in the irs Records Centre situated at Chai Wan. This centre is specifically designed and fully dedicated to providing the pioneering integrated records management services. The centre is a 24-hour access restricted area highly secured with advanced CCTV and alarm systems. An irs specialist team will undertake all the irs processes with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.

The launch event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre held on 6 Nov 2007 will be followed by a seminar given by Mr Caric Cheung, Marketing Manager of KRMS and Mr Terence Lee, Product Marketing Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong Ltd. in the afternoon. In addition, an exhibition and demonstration of the irs service and equipment will be staged at the same venue.
